Spanish Groups

At Hilltop Learning, Spanish classes are immersive, engaging, and designed with young learners in mind. We use the Montessori Three Period Lesson to introduce new vocabulary in a natural, effective way. For example, when teaching colors:

  1. Naming: The teacher says, “Esta es la manzana roja” (This is the red apple)

  2. Recognition: The student points when asked, “¿Dónde está la manzana roja?” (Where is the red apple?)

  3. Recall: The student names the object when asked, “¿Qué es esto?” (What is this?), answering “la manzana roja”

This approach is used to introduce daily routines and vocabulary. Each month, students explore a new theme through books, hands-on materials, projects, songs, and more, creating a joyful and meaningful language learning experience. This yearlong program runs from September through June.

Whenever possible, we group children with similar Spanish language experience together.
